Having recently turned 25-years old, the clumsy, high-tech hero Inspector Gadget has just brought his own particular brand of bionic police work to the iPhone, courtesy of license holder Namco Bandai. "Inspector Gadget is a personal favourite for me, and a character who has gained a loyal global following, making him one of the most lovable icons of the cartoon crime-solving world," says Namco Bandai's pres, Barry O'Neill. "Inspector Gadget and the iPhone is a perfect partnership as one of the world's most famous gadget users meets one of the world's most famous gadgets." And it wouldn't be an adventure for the gizmo-laden copper without his niece Penny or the faithful mega-brainy dog, Brain, as they attempt to thwart the gruff-voice machinations of the evil Dr Claw.

The Inspector comes to us in a platform game using an unusual touchscreen controller. Six buttons are placed around the edges of the landscape-orientated screen to allow for quick and easy movements in all directions - a system that, from a distance, looks a bit easier to negotiate than the clumsy D-pads we have been seeing lately.
